What The Papers Say: The 'super jab' that is a breath of fresh air for allergy sufferers

A once-a-week jab for severe asthma and eczema is being hailed as ‘life-changing’ – eradicating attacks in patients who do not respond to other treatments such as inhalers.

The new medicine may also become a ‘super-drug’, capable of treating all allergic diseases including food allergies. In one study, asthma attacks were reduced by up to 87 per cent, and nine in ten patients found their eczema symptoms improved dramatically.
