What The Papers Say: Simple steps to avoid itchy, scaly skin

BANGALORE: Women with sensitive skin get itchy patches on the neck every time they wear artificial jewellery. This is allergic contact dermatitis, a type of eczema (skin disease).

Dr K Hanumanthayya, professor, dermatology department, Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, says that people should be careful about what they wear as they may experience discomfort with dry, scaly and intensely itchy patches. This could be eczema.
