Diet and your Child PIL is Published
After a lot of rewriting of this Patient Information Leaflet (PIL), it
has now been published on the website. It is a 3 page discussion on the
effect of diet on children including answers to questions like "How
important is food allergy in atopic eczema?" and "How
do I know if my child is allergic to any particular food?"
The
document can be downloaded from the downloads
page of our web site.

Patient Information Leaflets (PIL’s)
Queens Medical Centre Websites
During the reorganisation of the QMC web sites it was
agreed that the NSGCCE would take over the responsibility for
maintaining the Patient Information Leaflets (PIL’s) that relate to
children's eczema. We are currently updating these and as they are
completed will be made available via our redesigned downloads
page. The upgraded leaflets will be rolled out as soon as they are
completed and approved. It is hoped that we will be able to produce
documents that are no more than 2 sides so that they can be printed on
one sheet of paper.

No Magic Cure
Just wanted to say that my boys had quite bad eczema when they were
young but now they are in their late teens their skin hardly causes them
any problems: no magic cure. They just grew out of the worst of it: so
there is hope. Wouldn't it be great to know whether your child would
grow out of their eczema or not?

March Meeting
Regrettably this meeting was effectively cancelled due to the ill health
of Professor Williams, our speaker for March, and most of the group.
However those that did make it had a good old chat about everything and
anything. It was a very pleasant social evening. Next meeting: This will
take place on Wednesday 9th May 2007 when we hope that Rebecca Baker, one
of the trustees of the
National
Eczema Society, will be talking about her fund raising cycle trip to
Mexico.

Visitor Nation Updates
The Visitor Nations page has been updated with the flag of the Lebanon.
This is the 71st nation to visit our site. What I would like to do is link
these nations with their own national organisation for Eczema. Where I
know the organisation I have linked your national flag to that
organisation. Just click your flag. Where I do not know the organisation
perhaps you can help by letting me know.
