Radio 4 Case Notes Programme

The radio 4 medical programme Case Notes will be coming to the Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham on Thursday 30 July to record a programme on eczema and eczema research which will be broadcast on Tuesday 4 August. It is intended that Professor Williams, Sandra Lawton, Karin Koller and a SWET trial participant, and Amanda Roberts, one of our parents, will all be interviewed for the program. Case Notes is a medical programme exploring a different topic each week, with reports and input from experts. More information about the program can be obtained from the BBC Case Notes website.

NSGCCE Awareness Day Thursday 17th September, 2009

The NSGCCE Eczema Awareness Day is to be held on Thursday 17th September, 2009 10-12 noon and 1pm-3pm and has been timed to coincide with The National Eczema Society's Eczema Week 19 to 27 September 2009.

The Post Graduate Education Centre, Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham University Hospital is the venue and it will be open to all who have an interest in eczema. On arrival you will find practical workshops demonstrating the use of emollients & topical corticosteroids, information about the National Eczema Society, NICE childhood eczema guidelines, current research and details of our support group activities. There will be doctors and nurses on hand to answer your questions as well as parents of children who suffer from eczema. It should be noted that answers would be in general terms only as we are unable to give individual consultations.
